Crush

I've had a crush upon you for so long

I just wish that before I had been a little more strong

Now a year has passed, as well as relationships

Yet I am just attempting to embark on this trip.

I wish I would have spoken, if only to say hey

Maybe then I wouldn't have to watch you walk by day by day

Thinking silently to myself, "Damn! You are sooo cute!"

Now it's a new school year and I don't even get to see you.

I am glad I finally got the courage to IM you

Even more glad we talked all day and all night too!

1st serrious crush to make me feel flushed

Anticipation for you to call, thinking of you all day long

Replaying our all night all morning conversation, which was ova 6 hours long.

Reminded of you constantly during an Amanda Perez song

But I'm afraid sweetie, there is nothing left for me to keep

I told you my secrets, you solved my mystery

I want a relationship to ensue but I got loyalty to old crew

The sad thing is you'll never know how badly I want to be with you

We are so much alike, but different too

The funny thing is I've already dreamt of kissing you

I don't know what the future may bring

But what I do know is a sure thing...

What started out as a crush who made me blush,

Will quicker that I expect turn into a love with depths I cannot speak of...

I give my heart. I give my soul. In hopes of you never letting go. This love I pray. Will never stray. I miss you more everyday. The distance between us is much too great. Can our love for each other over take . . . All the things that challenge our relationship. The harsh words during arguements that cross our lips. All the ghosts from our past. Great loves that didn't last. Others trying to break us down. Different rumors spread across town. For I do not know what the future holds. I do know that what the beginning of our relationship started to mold. Something that has yet to be torn apart. Something that's been good every since the start. I anticipate the day that you return to my arms. When I once again feel the full effect of your charm. The taste of your kisses upon my lips. The taste of something else which I dare not let slip. I wait, quite often for our love to be revived. Until then, my love shall be hidden within my rhymes.

Promise

I cannot promise to not bring tears to your eyes

Nor can I promise to not make you cry.

I cannot promise to never hurt you

Or for you to always be mine.

I cannot promise to be there

At least not physically,

Nor can I give you comfort

If it’s not mental or emotionally.

But what I can promise,

And this I humbly do,

Is to never break your heart

And to always love you.

I can promise to not lie

I can promise to not cheat.

I can promise to help you up

When you feel you have been beat.

I can promise to wipe your tears

After I help you conquer your fears.

I can promise you my heart

Since you’ve had it from the start

I can promise you my soul

In hopes of you never letting go

These things I am saying, totally in fear

But I don’t mind waiting, it’s just another year

So I’ll keep using my teddy bear as a pillow

While these tears continue to fall

Because this helps me to not 4get to miss you

Not a little, not at all.
